The Journal of Energy Storage has published a comprehensive overview of the range of applications and commercial products powered by phase change materials. The article shows that PCM are used in many commercial applications already and demonstrates their enormous potential in applications still needing R&D.
Examples of areas with successful commercialization listed in the article are building materials, space heating and cooling, cold chains, mattresses and bedding, medical applications, automotive, prosthetics, and many more. The article provides a selection of commercial products and suppliers for all these areas.
