The Scottish producer of PCM heat batteries and the world´s largest PV panel manufacturer signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the opening of Trina Solar´s new heat pump factory in Changzou, China recently.
The integrated solution will combine Sunamp´s UniQ heat batteries with solar panels and heat pumps to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions and to improve air quality. The salt-based PCM heat batteries store excess energy generated by solar PV systems and extend and enhance the range of capabilities of heat pumps. The stored energy is released on demand to provide heat and hot water.
